OKC Logo Leaked

Caught this on a number of different sites...

I'll give you the rundown from The Oklahoma City Sports Blog:

Apparently some worker snuck his tiny digital camera into the unpacking facility for "Thunder" gear, and it confirms our fears.

The name is Thunder, and the logo is butt-ugly. It looks incredibly generic. I mean, some might say photoshop, but it'd be impossible to photoshop through plastic. Some might say "unofficial" but the NBA logo is also on the basketball.

So, there's only two explanations from here on out:

1. The logo is legit.

2. The logo was made illegally by a local entreapaneur who is trying to cash in on the new team phenomenon.

1 looks very likely, but I'm hoping for 2. And if not that, PLEASE let this be a secondary logo.

The logo itself is alright, what makes it awful is the "THUNDER" text at the top. Its not centered, making me think that there is a SMALL chance that it is fake.

^i dont think "THUNDER" text is part of the logo. since its a mini ball, i think its just an example of personalization. you know, customize it by putting your name on it

Well in the case, I reckon it is a fairly nice logo, however it doesn't really scream out "thunder" to me. Its still graphically nice, but conceptually pretty <Censored>.

Well it turns out that that is actually the final logo, crappy Thunder text and all.
