OJ Mayo has been suspended by the NBA for ten games for violating NBA drug policy. Mayo tested positive for DHEA.

DHEA is a widely circulated steroid

For those wondering, DHEA is a steroid. It is the same substance that led to Rashard Lewis' ten game suspension last season.
DHEA is found in a lot of over-the-counter supplements and Mayo, like Lewis, didn't realize it was banned. DHEA isn't even banned by MLB.

no, never. he needs to bounce from memphis.
Yo who doesn't need to bounce from Memphis? That franchise minus a year they made the playoffs [i think] is where players go to die. For example, look at what happened to Stromile Swifts' career..

^ ^ I know this. Just saying, OJ is not meeting expectations even for the weak Grizzlies.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo believes an "energy drink" he bought at a gas station contained the substance that led to his 10-game suspension.

Mayo spoke about his suspension for the first time Saturday before the Grizzlies' game against the Washington Wizards, saying he didn't know the drink "had any bad substances in it."

The NBA suspended Mayo on Thursday for testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is on the league's list of banned performance-enhancing drugs.

The shooting guard said it wasn't as if he "ordered some supplement off the Internet."

His suspension started Friday night at Philadelphia and he will be eligible to return Feb. 15, also against the 76ers in Memphis.

It baffles me that you can get banned for a product anyone can buy over the counter for $15.
