LOS ANGELES (AP) - Portland rookie Greg Oden's highly anticipated NBA debut didn't last long Tuesday night. He left the game against the Los Angeles Lakers late in the first half with a foot injury after taking four shots and going scoreless.

Oden missed two free throws, had two rebounds, one turnover, blocked one shot and picked up two fouls while playing 12:51.

The severity of his injury wasn't immediately known.

Oden, taken by Portland with the first pick in the 2007 draft, missed all last season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his right knee.
Hopefully nothing serious.

nah he wont miss too much.

Maybe a week or two, but seriously, the guy could be a great athlete one day, he's just gotta stop getting injured!

Yeah, I didn`t think it was going to be a huge amount of time he would miss, but hopefully it`s a sign to those playing college ball right now that they need to stay longer than one year before going into the NBA. It helps you be prepared and not get injured like Oden has been. Although, he does look like he is one of the oldest guys in the NBA lol.

I'm surprised no one is claiming bust yet.

IDK why everyone is saying he is a great player lol. He has barely played in the NBA at all.

His early career has been anything but great. lol

Atleast it wasn't a muscle tear or just crappy body, it was due to an actual incident in the game, just bad timing, wrong place wrong time type of thing, not really his bodies fault
