The Denver Nuggets plan to discuss a contract extension with Kenneth Faried in the offseason.

"We'll talk to his representation," Tim Connelly said. " I think Kenneth is happy here. I think he's really embraced what (Coach) Brian (Shaw) is trying to instill. Those are the type of guys that deserve to get paid."

Faried is coming off his best NBA season, with career-best averages of 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds while shooting 54.5 percent from the field.

Shaw said after the season that he expected Faried to return. Faried was subject to trade speculation during the regular season.

I think it could get unreasonable very quickly. What's a fair price for Faried?

I mean for starters, there's a reason he's never played more than 28 minutes a game. He plays so hard that he won't be able to keep up that level of play if he's playing huge minutes.
