A little surprising imo. A healthy Booth can help the Canucks a lot.The Vancouver Canucks acquired left wing David Booth, centre Steve Reinprecht and a third round draft pick in 2013 from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Sturm.
Last season, Booth scored 23 goals and added 17 assists for 40 points plus 26 penalty minutes. In 309 career games with Florida, the 26-year-old forward has recorded 167 points and 127 penalty minutes. He was originally selected 53rd overall by the Panthers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Last season, Reinprecht had 10 points in 29 games for the Florida Panthers and 13 points in 18 games for Adler Mannheim of the German Elite League. In 663 career NHL games, the 35-year-old has recorded 382 points and 186 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, Alberta, native has played in 50 playoff games scoring 10 goals and 10 assists. He has played for five NHL teams including: Los Angeles, Colorado, Calgary, Phoenix and Florida.
