In hopes of making a giant impact in the hunt to bolster their offensive production, the San Francisco 49ers interviewed Dan Reeves for their Offensive Coordinator position.

Already a head coaching icon, Reeves spent over 20 years on the job, featuring stints with the Denver Broncos, New York Giants, and Atlanta Falcons. A two-time NFL Coach of the Year, Reeves became the youngest NFL head coach with the Broncos in 1981 and lead the team to 3 Super Bowls. After an, unsuccessful, 4-year run with the Giants, Reeves went to Atlanta and lead the Falcons to a Super Bowl 33 appearance.

Reeves has been in broadcasting since leaving Atlanta in 2003. The Niners initially offered the job to Scott Linehan, however Linehan declined. The team has since interviewed: Reeves, Ravens QB coach Hue Jackson, former Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski, Cleveland offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, Denver assistant Rick Dennison and Indianapolis receivers coach Clyde Christensen. -AE
