Just a place for fans of the Skins, Giants, Cowboys & Eagles to discuss their team's biggest needs, which players are available, who you would take, etc.

So I still hope the Giants will try to fill one of their major weaknesses rather than just going with the best available. It works sometimes, but I just don't think this draft is deep enough where you can draft somebody like a DE just because he's the best availalbe, and then hope to fill your other spots like OL or LB through the later rounds.

I would prefer we take Ogletree -- we haven't draft a LB in the first round in some considerable time, but with more teams getting these exceptionally talented TEs I think getting a good OLB is a must now adays -- not to mention the Giants have a horrible run defense.

I don't think offensive line is as big a position as we think. Our line isn't great by any means but we've always done a solid job bringing in veterans, cheaper players, etc. to fill up our line. If Cooper is available when we pick I won't be against it. Also seen some people predict we do what we always do which is draft a DE with great upside, and one name that has popped up is Tank Carradine. I don't really know much about him, maybe some other Giants fans here would be able to explain why he would fit in our system and be a good pick over a LB.

If Ansah is available, I'd be ok with getting him. Again I don't know as much about him but it seems he's a similar build to JPP, and since Tuck is clearly on the decline and fast it would be wise to get his replacement in there this year or the next, but can't keep waiting and hoping Tuck shows flashes of his former self.

I'm hearing CB or DE for the Giants

Carradine, Rhodes, Trufant are the most likely bunch

I forgot about Trufant. I would go for any of those guys too. Which of the three do you think is better? It seems to me they want Amukamara the #1 CB and if he can stay healthy, work hard in training camp, I think he can get the job done over there but their depth at CB still worries me.

I've also heard some speculation they might trade down.

I liked Pugh; very underrated as a prospect

Had him penciled in to GB if he was there

I would have prefered a CB actually but I am a-OK with this pick. Like you said, very underrated and Reese had him high on our board and the best that was left when our pick came up.
