Done deal with the Giants and QB Josh Freeman. He's agreed to terms, per source.
 
 
I don't know why, but I always like Josh Freeman. Call me crazy. He'll be a nice back-up. Painter is a goner most likely, but wonder where this goes for Nassib.

I've always fucked with Freeman tbh. That game against the Giants last year was absolutely brutal. He had absolutely no protection and iirc, the receivers had a countless number of drops. Josh was getting knocked down every play and every time he'd get back up with a huge sarcastic smile on his face like "what the fuuuuuck". It was hilarious. Or I thought so.

Josh had decent protection in that game, and nearly every incompletion he had was horribly overthrown or horribly inaccurate. Dude was awful, and it was pretty much ALL him. Very little to do with his teammates.

JaMarcus Russell 2.0, with one good season under his belt. That's about it. Dude's effort ended his career.

Freeman sort of came out of nowhere in his sophomore year, and he kind of fell off the face of the earth for no real reason as well.  He actually had a pretty decent season in Tampa a few years ago. His free fall seems to have started with the weird relationship he had with Schiano.
