EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The New Jersey Nets waived centre Jamaal Magloire on Friday.

The eight-year pro from Toronto played in 24 games this season, averaging 1.8 points and 3.4 rebounds. He signed with the Nets in July.

The former all-star has averaged 8.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in 530 NBA games with Charlotte, Milwaukee, Portland and New Jersey.
