Nets To Target Nene, Chandler

To acquire an asset they can dangle in a trade offer for Dwight Howard, or to bolster their lineup in case they are able to land the Magic's center, the Nets are in pursuit of free agents Nene and Tyson Chandler.

The Nets are hoping to sign one of the two big men.

thats what pisses me off. you should be trying to sign people to use as a trading chip for a player you may not get. you should be trying to sign players to help your team and that should be your goal.

They would help their team. Nene or Brook could play PF if that deal happened and Brook could slide to PF if Chandler went there.

But their ultimate goal is to pair Deron with Dwight and they'll do everything short of trading D-Will to get him.

i know theyll help their team but they should go out and say "i want to sign so and so for trade bait". the main goal should be to build a winning team with what they have and then worry about trying to make trades.

Why would Nene or Chandler sign there knowing they will try and be traded right off the bat?

If anything, a report like this could hurt Jersey's attempt at signing anyone.
