Nerlens Noel has been cleared by Dr. James Andrews to return to basketball-related activities and could be ready shortly after the All-Star break.

"He is doing excellent and the team is taking good care of him," Andrews told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

Noel suffered a torn ACL last February during his freshman season at Kentucky.

Noel was seen playing one-on-one against assistant coach Greg Foster on Tuesday.

That's awesome news. I didn't want to wait until next season to watch him play.

Wonder if he's gonna be worth a look in fantasy.

I wonder if they'll keep him out longer to keep working on his jump shot, cause they ripped it apart completely. No use in rushing him into the lineup. He's gonna be beastly though

Sounds like they aren't expecting much from him regardless this year.
