National Football Post - It appears as though Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth may not be long for New England.

A league executive familiar with the situation believes that the Patriots will cut one of both of the big names before the regular season starts.

Lol, weren't most Patriot fans saying how Albert was going to back to pro-bowl form in NE?

Nothing ever comes out of BB camp, ever.

If anyone would be cut, it would be Al. He has only attended one practice

Cutting Ochocinco Wouldn't Come Cheap For Patriots

Pro Football Talk - If the Patriots opt to cut wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, they'll still have to pay handsomely this coming season.

There have been reports that Ochocinco's restructured contract has a non-guaranteed base salary of $1 million for 2011.

However, sources claim that Ochocinco received a signing bonus in the amount of $4.75 million and a workout bonus worth $250,000.

That means if the Patriots decide to cut Ochocinco, they will have sacrificed the draft picks (fifth-rounder in 2012 and sixth-rounder in 2013) that were sent to Cincinnati for his services, along with $5 million.

The base salary doesn't become guaranteed until Week One, but cutting Ochocinco before the start of the season would permit him to keep the $5 million and then to sign with a new team.

Patriots 'Expect A Lot' From Haynesworth

NFL.com - The Patriots are expecting big things from Albert Haynesworth, according to longtime defensive line coach Pepper Johnson.

When it comes to the defensive tackle and his extensive track record of being a problem child, Johnson says reality doesn't match perception.

"Very unlike what you read about," Johnson said of Haynesworth. "I was thinking that, what am I really going to have to deal with? I'm coaching every player that comes up in here. It really doesn't matter to me. But, Albert, God he's a great guy.

"It's kind of hard to see some of the things that you hear negative about him . . . . some of the stuff, you need to know both sides of the story. I think Albert is a great person. He's been trying to work his way out on the field. He's been tremendous in the classroom to date. I expect a lot from him.
