OKLAHOMA CITY For the 2014-15 season, the heritage jerseys of NBA teams will be converted to short sleeved jerseys, a league source informed CSNNW.com.

The source spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the plan being subject to change leading up to next season, but its highly unlikely, the source explained.

In the case of the Portland Trail Blazers, their popular white Rip City jersey will be converted to a short sleeve fit. The same goes for the Detroit Pistons and their blue Motor City jersey.

Theres reluctance by some teams to switch up their look, were told. However, this is something the league wants to occur and theres more teams in favor of the change oppose to the ones that are not, another source said.

CSNNW.com reached out to adidas, the jersey manufacturer, for comment on the shakeup, but they politely declined to speak on the matter.

The sleeved jerseys have received mixed reviews over the last couple of years. Regardless of preference, it appears sleeved jerseys are here to stay.

Yup

But you know what, although i prefer sleeveless, once im into a game i dont even notice what theyre wearing

I worry more about ads and imo, sleeves = more room for ads

the ads will get annoying but theyve said the ones they sell to the fans wont have ads, unless that changed.

im also pretty sure they said they dont want the ads to be too big.

I guess we should all just accept them, but it's just hilarious that nobody likes them (fans, players, etc) but the NBA keeps incorporating them more and more.

I dont know, apparently they are selling enough of them to an extent where it pays off to make more.

Clippers have em as their alternates, same with Warriors and Suns. They're hideous and look rediculous. Those were what were worn on Christmas day.
