Heard this and wanted to get more opinions, it is taken from the D-League, here is the proposal:

-The eight seeds are ordered by record. Teams with a 45-37 record do not get the 4th seed over a 52-30 team because they won their division.

-The top four seeds get to choose their opponent. The first seed gets to choose whether they want to play the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th overall seeded team. Then the second seeded team gets to pick who they want to play in the first round, and so on.

For or against?

I'd be fine with that, but how would it work for the later rounds?

Not a bad idea, would be even better without conferences.

D-League did it where the second round is by seeding. I love this idea though, think about the discussion leading up to when the teams announce who they will play, think about the drama of a team being the first team to get picked by the 1st seed, that team would feel disrespected. And I think it would make for better matchups down the road, imagine if SA and GS meet in like the 2nd round this year because SA wasn't playing great to start the year. Or if OKC magically got Durant and Ibaka back, you think GS would want to play the 8th seeded fully healthy Thunder?

I don't like top seeds picking who they play, but the rest is fine.

Yeah I don't like the idea of picking who you play. For example the Mavs would've never picked the Warriors when they were upset by them and we miss out on watching an awesome series. That kind of ruins the fun of the matchups, and teams playing for positioning.
