don't use feather.. use layer>matte>defringe of 1, if anything

you left some bg on the far left (thin Line).

only other thing I can suggest is to try larger pics

Alright, thanks Jarrod. :D

Do you think I'm good enough at cutting to submit these for the gallery or should I wait until I get better?

Alright, I'll continue to post my cuts here until you think I should start submitting em.

Also, where do you get your pics? That Tulo one I got was from elibrary.

i get most of mine there, too.
also try Image>trim to get rid of the excess transparent BG

after I'm done with the cut, I normally do Image adjustments:
Auto Levels
Brightness -10, Contrast +30-40.

this has helped some of the blurry pics pop a little more

Well, I just tried downloading my cut to see if it worked, and when I tried to open it up in PS, it said invalid file or something...

Can you try and see if it works please? :)

Forget it, I fixed it. My PS was being dumb.

Thanks for the help Jarrod, and another cut is on the way...

not bad only problem is his left arm -- needs major rounding off -
if you look really close (zoom in), there's a noticeable coloring difference

Woah, that's a big difference.

I recut it too after you showed me the problem.

I didn't do the contrast stuff though, I'll remember to do that next time. I have some time to kill now though, so I'll cut another one and try that out.
