Along with several new Head Coaching hires around the NFL, several supporting roles are beginning to fill as well.

- Along with the departure of Tony Dungy, longtime defensive coordinator Ron Meeks has decided to leave the team. Meeks, a "Tampa 2" defensive specialist joined the team in 2002.

- The Green Bay Packers have hired former Panthers and Texans head coach Dom Capers to be their new defensive coordinator. The hire comes after head coach Mike McCarthy announced the team will switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 scheme in 2009. Capers is knows around the league as a 3-4 defensive specialist.

- Less than 48 hours after Steve Spagnulo's hire in St. Louis, the New York Giants have promoted Bill Sheridan to defensive coordinator. Sheridan served as Linebackers coach since the 2005 season.

- After being interviewed for 3 head coaching vacancies, Vikings' defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has returned to the team. A big 'sigh of relief' for Minnesota who, once upon a time, lost a defensive coordinator named Mike Tomlin to a head coaching vacancy.

- After being fired by Boston College for his unapproved interview with the Jets, Jeff Jagodzinski will interview for the San Francisco 49ers' offensive coordinator job. The 49ers offered the job to Scott Linehan last week, but he declined it Sunday. -AE
