I think the 'effects' you do are unimportant and add nothing to the pieces you make. if anything they just make it worse. just to me. yet that seems to be all you care about, so do as you please.
thats not all I care about for gfx
I'm just trying to get better and all. I see picasso with sick fx, and I thought having a good fx would make my pieces better.
I'm just trying to improve. If you have a way to help me out, please tell me.
that was my way of helping you out. I'd say work on constructing a good environment in your pieces, rather than on the render's look right now. not every piece will be perfect, but eventually you'll get to a clicking point where all the elements come together the way you want them to. It's just going to be easier to focus on one aspect of your work at a time, and get that to the level you want, rather than trying to make everything better all at once. I'd just say the least important thing would be the render effects, especially since you seem to have a decent understanding of how to make renders look as you wish. I'd say construct the rest of the elements over time, and then when you have a solid, together piece, use the render 'effects' that best suit the rest of your elements, if possible.
and become well acquainted with the constructs of your goal, as you're better off being the largest judge of yourself. around places like here and other forums, all people will tell you is "this is bad" or "cool".
sometimes the best render efx are blending and good coloring. try to build better backgrounds, mainly depth. i actually do like this though, has potential.
