He's selfish to the point of limiting both his and his team's actual potential on the court, so this doesn't surprise me.

yea, and plus he'd get more by re-signing with us after hitting the market, right?

With how much he pushed to get to NY I don't see him leaving unless we piss him off or something.

He should definitely go to LA. Because overpaying a one-dimensional, prima donna definitely worked out last year.

He is staying in NY. Makes much more money with them via being a free agent. 30 million I believe.
Stephen A is on SportsCenter right now talking about how Melo loves money lol.

he even said at shoot-around today that he's opting out for contractual reasons but that doesn't mean he wants to leave NY.

It's not like any team that could afford him are better than the Knicks.
But you'd think he cares about more than just money, otherwise he'd still be in Denver.

Melo wants to get paid like he's a player who can win a championship, but his very DNA as a player is every reason he'll never win a title.

He's just doing the same thing that CP3 and D-Will did. He's not leaving.

I wouldn't say he is leaving, but I think he is threatening the Knicks to get better.
