A prime example why it's never a good idea to fantasy draft too early into Training Camp...
Baltimore Ravens workhorse runningback Willis McGahee will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery as, what Team Doctors are calling, a "precautionary procedure".
Expected to miss 2-4 weeks, the surgical procedure is just the latest of the many early '08 setbacks for the self proclaimed "Greatest Back in the NFL". After only attending one mandatory mini-camp and one voluntary session, McGahee reported to Ravens' camp out of shape and has looked terribly sluggish during the pre-season.
Bad news for McGahee but good news for rookie Ray Rice, who has been white-hot all throughout camp. Rice continues to turn heads as his bruising running style and laser vision is ideal in a Cam Cameron system where running backs typically flourish. -AE
