Maybe it's just me, but I don't always get the PM message alert thing.
I have it where it pops up but it only shows up maybe 20% of the time, the rest is just from me seeing I have a PM.

That happens to me too sometimes. I dont realize that I have a new pm until people say something about me answering their pms. Than I look and see that I have new unread ones.

It happens sometimes on specific sites for specific people, I don't know why, it's fine for me here, but on other boards it's not. So no one is really the odd man out in this kind of situation.
