In Mark Jackson's mind, Dwyane Wade is the third-best shooting guard in NBA history behind Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

“I see a guy that I love as a basketball fan,” Jackson said before his Golden State Warriors played the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. “To me, he’s the third-best shooting guard to play the game.

“People think I’m crazy for saying that. He’s a winner. He competes. He’s an underrated passer. We all know he can score the ball. It’s a lot of fun to watch him on the basketball court.”

Jackson also has said in recent months that he believes former Indiana Pacers teammate Reggie Miller belongs in the category of the best two-guards ever.

Reggie is probably Top 10, but not higher than Captain Clutch, Ray Allen.

And I think J was a SF

This actually isn't that absurd of a statement.

I don't understand why old school players always receive the benefit of the doubt in these arguments. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with Jackson, but Wade very well could be as high as 3rd.

Clyde Drexler and Wade are interchangeable at 3-4 all-time as of right now

he's definitely been saying this forever and cant really get to up in arms

i might put Wade ahead of Glide, but cant put him ahead of jerry west. just cant do it

what's funny is Jerry West works for the Dubs and has a piece of ownership lol

West is difficult to place because he was a combo guard.

I personally think of him as a PG so he's out of this discussion for me... but if he was in the discussion I think he has that third slot on the all-time SG list.
