Manning has played through torn quad

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning wasn't exactly himself over the last month of the season, and it appears much of that can be attributed to a fairly significant injury.

While it was known that Manning was dealing with a thigh injury of some sort, it turns out he played through a torn quad for the final few games of the regular season and in Sunday's playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Mine semi does. This would explain his inability to put any zip on the ball. Obviously he's been declining, but if he really was hurt then I don't think he's "finished". I mean, he did throw 39 TDs this year.

That's how I see it. While he's obviously not as great as he once was, he clearly can still play the position at a high level.
