..As he didn't even show up to their meeting on time.

Quarterback Ryan Mallett, who made pre-draft headlines over a missed meeting with the Carolina Panthers, apparently was late to his scheduled April 18 meeting with the Tennessee Titans, according to what multiple sources have told Darren McFarland of TitanInsider.

Mallett, who said he missed the meeting with the Panthers on April 9 after what he said was an illness, was late to his meeting with the Titans, though the actual amount of time is not certain. One source said Mallett was about 30 to 40 minutes late, while another indicated Mallett was more than an hour late on his arrival at Baptist Sports Park.

The character issues on this kid are just insane. I mean, as a QB you gotta be the leader and can't pull this kind of bullcrap. I hope he gets his head on straight in the NFL.

Definitely a question mark, but really, I don't see him being the eventual replacement for Brady. I feel they drafted him to teach him and get him molded for another team. I could be wrong, but with the track record of guys being taught under Brady/Belichick(mostly by that I mean Matt Cassel) they can play other places. Just the main thing they'll want to get taken care of, before football comes into play, is getting his head straight and trying to fix the off the field issues.

The kid either blew off team officials, or as this is saying basically showed that he didn't care or respect teams by not showing up to their meetings. Sorry Mallet, but I lose respect for you even more when I see more of these stories coming out. Horrible attitude that this kid has.

I laugh when people think Brady is just gonna change Mallett.

It takes two to tango.

If Brady was some Jesus to get QBs on track, then New England would get every QB and let him turn them into gold.

I don't think the Pats drafted Mallett to change him... They drafted him because the value was ridiculous, and it's well worth the risk. If Mallett gains some sense and doesn't get caught doing any drugs (which technically, he never has) for let's say 2 years... Some team will give him a shot and trade the Pats a 2nd round pick for him just because he's been 'clean' for 2 years.

That's just it.

They've brought in Hoyer, etc. and they've done nothing. Now, I know that Mallett has so more talent than the Brian Hoyer's of the world, but it's not like Brady is a coach and going to flat out change this guy.

It's going to take serious time before Mallett becomes ANYTHING (player wise, value wise) in this scenario now.
