Magic, Vucevic Agree To $54M Extension

The Orlando Magic and Nikola Vucevic have agreed upon a four-year, $54 million contract extension.
 
RealGM's Shams Charania reports that Vucevic's deal is fully guaranteed with no option seasons.
 
Vucevic was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers and came to the Orlando Magic in the Dwight Howard trade.

i keep forgetting the cap is supposed to raise quite a bit, but, that doesn't change my opinion on this. they still paid a lot.

I didn't realize he had such a good year last year, but I still don't think he is a 13.5/year player. Even with a CAP increase.
But I wouldn't doubt that he changes my mind about that.

The going rate for big men is high. He got a pretty normal rate for a solid big under the current cap, especially at his age. Might be more than you want, but when the cap balloons, solid bigs are getting way more than this
