Jake Locker is expected to miss multiple games and eventually require surgery on his shoulder.

An MRI revealed no structural damage, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak said Monday.

Locker reinjured the shoulder in Week 4 after originally sustaining it in Week 1.

“It surprised a lot of us how quickly and how good he felt within 48 hours or 72 hours of that injury last time,” Munchak said. “I hope he is that way so we can make the decision on what’s best for him and the team at that point. … If we don’t feel he can function or play, obviously he won’t play.”

I know first hand how shitty shoulder injuries are. It won't be the same until he gets it fixed (something I never did). The slightest hit, fall, even moving abruptly in any particular direction pops mine out of socket. Extremely painful.

Better that he'll have the surgery and come back when he is completely healed from it. The plus side is they have Matt Hasselbeck to fill in, until Locker can come back. I haven't seen Hasselbeck play really since he went to Tennessee, but from what I know he is a capable veteran who can get the job done.
