Well, that didn’t take long.

The Detroit Lions released cornerback Aaron Berry this morning, finally making a statement about their offseason gone wrong.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press said after discussions today, the team made the decision to release the troubled cornerback.

Berry was arrested this weekend on three charges of simple assault, which marked the seventh arrest this offseason (including Berry’s second, after an earlier drunk driving charge) for the Lions.

They issued the perfunctory “extremely disappointed” statement yesterday, and backed it up with actions today.
Had to be done, even though I pass defense is gonna get worse with this lol.

I guess Aaron Berry's agent hasn't heard from Mayhew yet, but this is probably true.

You betcha sweet ass I'm happy. It's like the guy isn't even remotely decent, and then this, an absolute no-brainer that he needed to be cut. Hell yeah.

I like it. He clearly didn't learn his lesson the first time, and now he's gone. This should have the other players paying attention that the tolerance for this is very low.

Funny though. Leshore and Fairley get busted twice, and so does Berry. But only Berry is cut hahah. Goes to show how shitty Berry is.

If Berry was decent, they'd of just slapped him on the wrist and kept him around lol.
