Lions officially part ways with Jahvid Best

 

Lions waived RB Jahvid Best.

 
It's a move nearly two years in the making. Best hasn't played since suffering his most recent concussion on Oct. 16, 2011, and only remained on the roster as a good faith gesture so he could continue to accrue time toward his NFL pension. Best said in March that he's "never giving up hope" of playing again, but his career is essentially over. Still only 24, Best was the 30th pick of the 2010 draft.

But really I do, I enjoyed watching him play when he did. Was a promising player when healthy. :/
