He's worked under Sean Payton and knows football, I think this is a very good hire. Also, I'd say he's done a pretty good job with Drew Brees.. I expect Stafford to be a better player going forward and the Lions offense in general. The Lions were already pretty good offensively with what I thought were vanilla from a play calling standpoint.

I'm fine with any coached named Lombardi, joining our staff. Not only that, but coming from the Saints, knowing that he's helped Drew Brees with his success, that's not a bad track record.
