During the offseason, when we were doing the top 10 RB lists, the topic of Morris was brought up several times.  Many people said one season wasn't enough to determine where he ranks among the rest of the NFL backs, many people said he was a product of the system in which he plays, many people said a majority of his success can be attributed to RG3.  (people across the internet, not exclusive to SI)

Now that we're 10 weeks into his sophomore season, with a somewhat struggling RG3 the QB AND runner, Alfred Morris leads the league in rushing.  He also leads all RBs in YPC among those who qualify.  For those that feel he isn't explosive enough, he also leads the league in carries of 20 yards or more.

So if you take into account what he's accomplished so far this season, combined with what he was able to do last season, where would you rank Alfred Morris?

Absolutely top 10, although I still don't know if I would put him top 5 only because he's non-existent as a receiving back. Guys like AP, Charles and Lynch would still be ahead of him on my list but he certainly opened my eyes so far this year and he's definitely moved up my personal rankings.

I think if I had to put a list together right now it would look somewhat like:

Peterson
Charles
Lynch
McCoy
Forte
Morris

The receiving factor is just important to me, and I'm fine if it's not as important to others. To me that's just a big factor in a player's versatility, but he's just outside of that top 5 now.

#1 - Adrian Peterson
#2 - Arian Foster
#3 - Ray Rice
#4 - Marshawn Lynch
#5 - Jamaal Charles
#6 - LeSean McCoy
#7 - CJ Spiller
#8 - Alfred Morris

Out of this group, Ray Rice sucks, and CJ Spiller has been hurt. Forte, who didn't even make the Top 10, is also having a great year

If I had to personally rank the 9 said here, I still wouldn't have him too high. Obviously Rice falls to 9, if not further, while JC and Shady jump in the Top 3.

Alfie is a damn good back, but he isn't top 5 yet

Ray Rice is washed up at 26, is what it looks like. Definitely not a top 10 back anymore. No explosion or burst anymore.

I'd say Morris is probably around 5.

Ray Rice is/was significantly injured for the first time in his career. Let's let him get healthy before we condemn him after 9 games.

FYI, Minnesota's line was awful for a year after losing Matt Birk, too.

He's been bad for 9 games. If he wasn't healthy, he would have been benched/sat early on
