When the Knicks selected Italian forward Danilo Gallinari with the sixth pick, it may have signaled the end of David Lee's career as a Knick.

"I'm hearing the Knicks could be working on a deal with the Charlotte Bobcats to acquire point guard Raymond Felton for Lee," Frank Isola writes in his blog.

The Bobcats chose Texas point guard D.J. Augustin with the ninth pick. Augustin's game is consistent with Larry Brown's blueprint for an orchestrating point guard.

When Mike D’Antoni coached the Phoenix Suns, he reportedly did not want Lee because of the forward's lack of shooting ability.

Isola also reports that the Knicks had spoken to the Memphis Grizzlies about trading Lee and Malik Rose for the fifth pick.

I heard about this deal on a Nets forum, I could see it going down.

I don't think Charlotte will do this trade...but maybe.

Charlotte should do it. No use splitting time between DJ and Ray-Ray.

I think they said they plan on playing Felton at SG. Also every team needs 2 PGs, and those would be their 2. Earl probably won't be back.

Play Felton at SG to back-up Richardson? Why...

They should do it so they can get a solid forward on their squad, to start or what not.
I'm sure they can get a PG via FA.

True, but they probably want to play DJ at PG full time, rather have them split time.

But even full time doesn't mean he's on the court all the time, so either way he's splitting time with someone. (if you get clear down to it)

As a Knicks fan, I love Lee...

But also know he won't play much for us (30 MPG again...)

He's our best rebounder, and he has the most heart...

With that said, I wouldn't mind trading him. I like Felton, but I think it'll take more.

If this was to happen, I would have liked it.

Like Yankees said, I love Lee, the type of player every team wants. He comes in to play EVERY night.

But since our roster is filled with "individual talent" we dont have pieces that many teams are interested in.

I watch the Bobcats maybe 30 times a year, and Felton is on the verge of becoming one of the leagues better PG's. He still takes bad shots, and shoots in volume, but he knows his main job is to get his teammates involved.

Overall, Im happy it isnt going to happen, but would have been alright with it if it did
