The Mets are reported listening to trade offers for 1B Ike Davis. Here is the latest:
Nov. 17, 3:15 pm: The Rays could be a “buy low” fit for Davis, and they could consider moving OF Matt Joyce to get him, who will have a similar salary to Davis in 2014 (Topkin).
Nov. 13, 8:35 pm: The Astros are not a fit for Davis (Drellich).
Nov. 13, 5:50 pm: It looks fairly likely Davis will get traded this offseason since teams see him as a decent bet for power with a change of scenery, a team insider said (Rubin).
Nov. 13, 10:43 am: The Mets have not been presented with any specific trade proposals for Davis, although there’s a lot of interest (Carig).
Nov. 13, 7:29 am: The Astros, Orioles, Rays, Brewers and Rockies have checked in with the Mets about Davis (Heyman) (Rubin).
Nov. 7: The Mets are being very open minded about first base and are more likely to trade Davis, who has a surprising amount of value on the trade market (Cerrone).
