Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is apparently spending a fair amount of time working to get an NBA team to his city, according to the Las Vegas Sun. But first he needs an arena.

The city is about to sign a deal to have a feasibility study done for a downtown 20,000-seat, $145 million arena to be built and Goodman believes that once that arena is built, the city will get a team, based on conversations Goodman has had with NBA execs. "I believe as soon as we have an arena - this is my belief, I have nothing that is signed in blood, there's no contract - but I believe we'll have a team," he said.

Goodman also said it's possible the city could get a professional hockey team. "I don't know anything about hockey," he said, laughing. "Whatever the market is gonna be, it's gonna be."

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman visited Vegas a few months back and Goodman says he's "high on Las Vegas." Sounds dangerous.

I think kings are fine where they are. Sacremento is a capital, therefore deserves a team.

well, I mean they deserve one, because LA has 2 teams, the NY pretty much has 2 teams, and Texas has 3. Not to mention Florida gots 2 aswell. Spread them out to different states is what I think they should do.

Besides the fact that the Maloofs want the people to pay for the arena through taxes which is not going to pass. Ever.

I could see Nets, Warriors or Clippers moving to LV

I honestly think if anyone does, it will be the Kings. I wish they wouldn't, but they probably will. I mean, the Maloofs are huge in LV on top of everything.

To Cals: Sorry, I'd have to put my money on the Kings moving. I used to live in NorCal and was a Kings fan over Warriors (even though Oakland was closer than Sac) and they seem to be the best fit in my opinion. NBA has already said that they might force the Kings to move if something (I forgot what) doesn't change. That's just my logical choice for moving based on other facts.

My personal opinion is that the Hornets will move there until NO can get their money problems figured out and then the Clippers will move to NO (both with name changes of course). Hornets, like I said, are having SERIOUS money troubles to the point where CP3 thought he might be dealt? That's just a huge sign in my opinion that they may be gone soon.

-Peace
