I mean seriously, he'd be a great fit there, but why for him? He'd be sharing a lot of time with the other big men there, while he could go to a place like Indiana and start. Does it make sense for him to sign with the Blazers? How much better would this make Portland? In a recent interview with SLAM Magazine, Carl Landry said "I think I can fit in with Portland," adding, "I really like Portland".
Landry had expressed interest in the Pacers and Bucks previously, but it sounds like he's got his sights set on Portland, also. He cites being good friends with Wes Matthews and Greg Oden, and the fact that the Blazers need a low post presence. In the same interview, Landry also added a December 1 deadline date for his decision as to whether or not he'd consider playing overseas. If he did wind up signing in Portland, his fantasy ceiling would be largely limited as he'd have to share the front line with LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby, Gerald Wallace and Nicolas Batum.
