look, starting is cool, but it's all about minutes played, correct? like when manu won, he came off the bench more than lamar, but he played like 40 mins a game

this years top bench players:
Odom: 32 mins (but as a sub, 28)
Terry: 31 mins
Thad: 26 mins
Baby: 29 mins
Jamal: 30 mins

all 5 are in the top 5 mins played for their teams, and are all in the game down the stretch when it matters most

It has nothing to do with haters, it's just that a player who started 43% of the games he played in shouldn't be viewed as the 6th man of the year. And no, it's not about minutes played, it's about a guy who actually comes off the bench and doesn't start a ton of games. That's why it's called sixth man of the year and not something else.

if your playing starters minutes and playing down the stretch with the starters, it's because you are one of your teams best players. sure you in name are a sub, but reality is you dont start so that your bench has some fire power

look at the minutes played, it's all equal. yeah he started more games, but to be eligible you have to come off the bench in more games than you start, and he did
