If I was the Thunder I'd hire Fisher as my head coach just so my coaches would stop playing him

He'd just coach with his jersey on, and check himself in.

I like Ollie but I think it'll take a lot of convincing to leave UConn. dude loves UConn. He's definitely going to be getting a lot of calls this summer.

wouldn't surprise me. He sounds like a loyal guy. Only way he got to UConn was, right after playing at OKC, the owner (or GM? I forget which one. it was in Sports Illustrated) loved him so much that when Ollie retired the guy took him out to lunch and asked him "What can I do to help you out?" and Ollie said he wanted to "return to UConn". Im guessing he helped him get an interview there or w/e. Just sounds like he loves being around here, so traveling far away from here might be out of the picture for him.

I sense that he eventually will be an NBA coach, but it's too soon. He's only been the head coach at UConn for two years, lol.

Alright so I dug it the article out, because I got nothing better to do on a friday night --

"Presti was so appreciative that in the spring of 2010 he took Ollie to lunch at ....  and asked him, How can I help you? Presti was interested in hiring Ollie as an assistant or a for a front-office job. But Presti says now, "It became clear to me that coaching at UConn was his dream".

I love how nobody has actually expressed interest in the Lakers job. It's not a good job, right now. It's a shithole.

Actually, multiple people have publicly expressed interest. Your favorite unemployed coach went on radio and practically begged for it
