According to the source, the Lakers are going to exercise the $16.1 million option on Andrew Bynum for next year.
Not really a surprise since Bynum is putting up nice numbers this year and is one of the few legitimate big men in the league plus Bynum wants to be in Los Angeles. While not a Lakers fan, it would seem that they would want to lock Bynum up to a long-term deal so he can become the team when Kobe begins to decline and let the guy not have to worry about the Dwight rumors that will start next year once again.
