After acquiring Steve Nash, the Lakers intend to keep its core of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum together next season, according to a source.

Bynum has been involved in trade rumors for Dwight Howard, while Gasol has been on the block since December.

The Magic have sought the inclusion of more pieces beyond Bynum in a trade for Howard, such as the ability to absorb at least one problematic contract.

I'm glad to hear that. I think they're solid as long as they're both playing down low and doing their jobs.

Bynum would one the next flight to Orlando if Dwight Howard agreed to sign an extension with the Lakers.

This is kind of silly. A dish-first point guard like Nash is just one more reason to trade Pau for Josh Smith.

Josh Smith works better in Mike Brown's system. LAL needs to see that and make the damn trade.
