http://phinphanatic.com/2014/08/03/knowshon-moreno-making-little-progress-rehab/The Miami Dolphins opted to not draft competition for incumbent starter Lamar Miller back in May. Instead they opted to sign a free agent runner, Denvers Knowshon Moreno. He has yet to make an impact on the roster.
Moreno showed up to the Miami Dolphins mini-camps and OTAs out of shape and the South Florida heat also took early tolls on him but its the scope of his knee that is keeping him from getting on the field. Moreno underwent surgery after staying out of the teams off-season workouts due to soreness in the knee. The timetable for his return was about one month but that was about six weeks ago and little progress has been made.
Moreno has been on the sidelines of practice doing rehab work while Lamar Miller is taking the first team reps. Un-drafted Damien Williams is starting to make his presence known as well. With Moreno on the sidelines, players like Williams and Mike Gillislee are getting more looks on the field and increasing their chances to make the roster.
Moreno was asked yesterday about his return by the Miami Herald and he said he simply didnt know. He told the Herald that he wants to make sure he is able to go full speed when he recovers.
