Honestly if I was him I wouldn't be moving along so quickly. There could potentially be a few better jobs available according to reports. I mean obviously it's not a given other teams would even be interested, but would you rather go to OKC or New York? Indiana or New York? But I'm not him obviously, and he's a Phil Jackson guy.

He's currently an announcer with no coaching experience. Not really in a position to be picky.

He has every right and opportunity to be picky. Phil wants to get this done asap for a reason. Do you really think if he said he wants to take a few weeks to weigh his options that New York would go in a different direction? They may try to play hard ball with him, but he's clearly the top guy on their list.

What about hiring a first time head coach with no coaching experience says "Quick Turnaround"?

Makes no fucking sense.

Yeah, nobody else is going to come knocking on Steve Kerr's door offering him a job without him going through the process of beating other candidates. If OKC or IND fire their coaches they're going at guys with experience.

Apparently OKC's owner fucking loves Kevin Ollie. You think the team looks at Steve fucking Kerr?

OKC has cheap owners, I don't think they'd fire Brooks anyway.
