Told #Knicks and Hawks working on 3-team deal for Jamal Crawford with Douglas involved in one scenario.

Much better offensively and probably a solid fit in D'Antoni's offense, but if Douglas goes (with Bibby that seems likely otherwise he's 3rd string PG which is a waste) they're sacrificing defense.

I guess Crawford fits as a 6th man but if I'm the Knicks I'm throwing all my assets at a starting PG instead of a 6th man who plays no D.

when he was a started here a couple years ago he averaged 20 pts a game. D'Antoni pretty much prefers a PG who'll take shots rather than put up assists, so my guess is they want him to start. I don't care for it either, and he plays no D, whatsoever.

He scored 20 as a 1st option chucking up a ton of shots. Now he's a 3rd option behind STAT and Melo.

Yep, I know. Like I said, I don't like it either. Everyone I talk to says D'Antoni prefers a PG who'll chuck up shots and with Melo and Amar'e that makes no sense.

Steve Nash ring a bell?

Crawford is one helluva spark plug, dude can unquestionably score in bunches... But we don't need that. This team has plenty of scoring, I don't want him if we have to give anything up.

Steve Nash does ring a bell. I'm basing that on what others have told me.

I think Crawford would be a nice fit. Another scorer who plays no defense lol. Sounds perfect for D'Antoni.
