Knicks Agree To Terms With Roberson

The New York Knicks have agreed in principle to a two year contract with free agent Anthony Roberson, the New York Post is reporting. The deal, according to the Post, is likely to expedite the departure of Stephon Marbury.

While the Knicks are trying to acquire help at the point through a trade, they did deny the rumor that Marbury's time in New York would officially come to an end by the end of the week.

The Knicks also have considered waiving center Jerome James, who played five minutes last season and still has knee pain.

Ive liked Roberson since he played at Florida, but figured he would never be that good of a NBA player, his game was built for college.

With that said I dont understand the signing, we already have 3 PG's, so I guess this is the last straw, and Marbury is Undoubtedly on his way out. Since Roberson is shoot-first.

But I alson read (on realgm) that we've been trying to talk Jerome James into retirement lol and the Lee to Memphis trade didnt happen b/c his agent told them he would never sign a long term contract with them...what an asshole.

I also don't think the Knicks would've done it unless Mayo was available at 5.

Well the T'Wolves REALLY wanted Love, just didnt want to draft him at 3.

Im guessing, we could have taken Love at 5 and traded Lee and Rose (I think) for their pick and Cardinal.

idk, but a dumb move by his agent.

Ive yet to see him play in the summer league. I hear his shooting ability is really impressive. This also puts Nate in a tough spot to step his game up.
