The Los Angeles Kings have acquired forward Stefan Legein and a sixth-round draft choice in 2012 from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for future considerations.
Legein, who turns 24 next month, is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound right wing from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Last season he played for Adirondack (AHL) and Greenville (ECHL). He has played in the AHL over the last four years both with Adirondack and Syracuse. In 2009-10, he recorded 24 goals.
Legein was originally selected by Columbus in the second-round (No. 37) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He attended training camp with the Flyers this year and was assigned to Adirondack on Sept. 25.
Legein is expected to report to the Kings' AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs.
