Jason Kidd entered Wednesday night needing eight assists to pass Gary Payton for sixth on the career list. He finished with 13 assists against the Pistons, upping his career total to 8,972 dishes.

Yea, I'm also a fan of J-Kidd and happy he is high on the list. I really don't think he will stay long enough to pass the all time leader John Stockton, but I think he can pass Mark Jackson for second in the near future...
