From realgm.com
Jason Kidd will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and the Cavaliers could be a fit for the veteran point guard.

"I could sit and watch from the bench," Kidd said. "[LeBron] is so talented, he's going to get guys wide open shots. So we'll look at free agency and what happens for me next year."

They will have their mid-level exception ($5 million) and their bi-annual exception ($2 million) they could use on outside free agents.
From the Mavs point of view I hope this happens. This means either JJ or a PG we draft starts

I think JJ should def start, we have nothing to lose. The guy seems pretty studly to me, he could become like a Tony Parker. Like someone who constantly drives to the hoop and uses the pick and roll to perfection.

Jason Kidd for Devon Harris is one of the worst trades in NBA History.

Alright, we have to get past that CP3...

But If JKidd did go to the Cavs I think he could play a very important role, despite his drop off. He and LeBron played well together (cant remember if it was during the USA games or an AllStar game where they were clicking)
