Sam Ammick says he will sit out instead of opting to play so they 6-8 weeks timeline sounds about right.SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings could be without leading scorer Kevin Martin for six to eight weeks after learning he has a hairline fracture in his left wrist, according to a report in The Sacramento Bee.

An MRI exam taken Thursday revealed a nondisplaced hairline fracture in Martin's left wrist, the result of a collision with Allen Iverson of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. The amount of time he will miss depends on what treatment he decides to pursue, according to the report.
Martin could have a screw surgically inserted to stabilize the bone, which would mean he'd miss six to eight weeks. He could have the arm put in a cast for the same amount of time and hope the fracture heals. Or he could wear a soft cast, attempt to play and risk a complete break, the newspaper reported.
"I'm going to turn my phone off early tonight, and get some good sleep, and probably make a decision tomorrow," Martin said at practice Thursday, according to the Bee. "I played through it last night, but we'll just have to see."
Martin is averaging 30.6 points a game for the Kings, who have lost four of five games to open the season. Sacramento was an NBA-worst 17-65 last season.
"It had been hurting the last couple days, but yesterday it swelled up. I was hoping it was just a bad sprain," Martin said, according to the report.
"I'm sure I'm going to have a lot of opinionated text messages tonight from family and friends. But at the end of the day, it's going to be my decision, and whatever decision I make, I'm going to have to go with it," he said, according to the report.
Beno will start at SG tomorrow which is kind of weird. But I thought he'd take over the point and have Tyreke at the 2, but I guess they're committed to Reke at the 1. Beno has played really well the past few games though.
