Vancouver Canuck centre Ryan Kesler will be baring his um, 'equipment', in the upcoming ESPN Body Issue.
Kesler, who has graced the pages of the Vancouver Sun in his underwear, will be posing nude in the magazine set to hit stands on October 7th. However, while he is naked in the shot, his 'equipment' will be tastefully covered.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Kesler is one of the only hockey players to appear in the issue, with U.S. Olympic hockey player Julie Chu also on the list. There were no hockey players in the 2010 edition.
During the Raise-A-Reader event on Wednesday Kesler was in downtown Vancouver handing out copies of the Vancouver Sun in exchange for donations, but he was rather shy to talk about his appearance insisting that he only wanted to discuss the reader event.
USA Today reports that there are 20 athletes appearing in the issue in the 'Bodies We Want' section.
