Kenneth Faried is still available at the right price as the NBA trade deadline looms, according to sources.

The Denver Nuggets were reportedly gauging the trade value of Faried before the season.

Faried is averaging 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds this season.

Denver can't receive a player in a S&T, and even if they could they'd have to include a whole lot more salary than just Chandler and Faried.

I think how much it begins at will be up to Detroit and Greg Monroe, but I think his pay scale would be set around 14.7M.

Also, I'd like to say the summer the Pistons will give Drummond a max deal, you will have Josh Smith on the books for 14M, possibly have Monroe on the books for around 15M, Drummond's extension will probably be around 15M, and Jennings will be up for a extension. That's a shit ton of money.

Actually Anthony Davis made me think of something. If Drummond makes two All-NBA teams, or two All-Star teams over the next two years, his max contract will be around 5 years 90M, 18M a year.

and gmoes contract could be back or front loaded, right? thatll make it even worse.

we could hit the tax on three players alone.

Correct. The Pels made Tyrekes contract front loaded, for example. So by the time AD is up for his max deal (which will be 18M) Reke's salary will only be 10M, instead of 12-13M.

He has to start two all-star games, not just make two.

Smith will be going into his last year of his contract the year Drummond gets extended, no?
Will be a one season thing. Doubt Jennings gets extended either after this contract.

Get a young player with real star potential for a hustle player who's already peaked? Denver should be legitimately interested in that.

If Shumpert can get to a better environment, he might be able to put it all together.

I've never been a fan of the whole "if he goes into a better situation" or "a change of scenery" remarks. Those are just myths, it's rare that a player changes a team then gets significantly better.

I don't think they are myths, and I do believe Shumpert is in a bad spot. But I don't think he is anything that special. Certainly not star potential.
