Josh Howard; Torn ACL, Waived

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced that Josh Howard has a torn ACL and will be waived to create a roster spot.

Howard tore the ACL in his right knee during Friday's game against the New Orleans Hornets and will undergo season-ending surgery.

Howard was signed in mid-November to give the Timberwolves depth at the wing, as the team has gone through a myriad of injuries this season.

Howard, 32, averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11 games with Minnesota.

He was a good veteran presence for that team. It's unfortunate that this had to happen to him.

It really is funny how some vets were out on the streets for so long this year. Howard. Pietrus. It's ridculous. Especially Pietrus.
