At the age of 22.
Peyton Manning; 56.7 completion percentage; 3739 yards; 26 touchdowns; 28 interceptions; 71.2 rating
Drew Bledsoe; 57.9 completion percentage; 4555 yards; 25 touchdowns; 27 interceptions; 73.6 rating
Fran Tarkenton; 49.5 completion percentage; 2595 yards; 22 touchdowns; 25 interceptions; 66.9 rating
Dan Marino; 58.4 completion percentage; 2210 yards; 20 touchdowns; 6 interceptions; 96.0 rating
Joe Namath; 48.2 completion percentage; 2220 yards; 18 touchdowns; 15 interceptions; 68.7 rating
Ben Roethlisberger; 66.4 completion percentage; 2621 yards; 17 touchdowns; 11 interceptions; 98.1 rating
Y.A. Tittle; 55.7 completion percentage; 2522 yards; 16 touchdowns; 9 interceptions; 90.3 rating
Bernie Kosar; 50.0 completion percentage; 1578 yards; 8 touchdowns; 7 interceptions; 69.3 rating
Bart Starr; 54.5 completion percentage; 325 yards; 2 touchdowns; 3 interceptions; 65.1 rating
Josh Freeman; 58.5 completion percentage; 2708 yards; 17 touchdowns; 6 interceptions; 87.9 rating.
So that's fourth best all time in the history of the NFL in rating at the age of 22. The second best TD/INT ratio besides Marino. Less interceptions and more yards than Roethlisberger, plus 10 less sacks.
Say what you want about it being his second year not first.
Among second year quarterbacks Freeman is 37th in touchdowns, tied with Drew Brees and one from tying Tom Brady. He is 66th in rating; however, Troy Smith is the leader in that category.
If you make it with more than 200 attempts, Freeman is 13th on that list behind: Johnny Unitas, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Otto Graham and Daunte Culpepper. He's ahead of Joe Montana, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, John Elway and Troy Aikman.
He ranks 25th all time among quarterbacks in their second season in rushing yards.
Truly, a beast in the making. This is his only season where he has started every game so far.
Just for fun, Mike Williams is ahead of Jerry Rice, Calvin Johnson, Santonio Holmes, Michael Crabtree (he's started one more game than Crabtree), Chris Chambers, Hakeem Nicks, Dez Bryant, Johnny Knox and Greg Jennings for receptions by a rookie receiver.
That's <Censored>ing insane.
Williams is also 25th all time in receiving touchdowns by a rookie and needs just two more to break into the top-10 with the likes of Randy Moss, Bob Hayes and Paul Warfield. He needs one TD to tie Larry Fitz and Marvin Harrison.
Tampa will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future. That offense is insane, get Freeman a tad better line and we're in the playoffs.
