So, it sounds like Fernandez wants out of Miami. What type of offer do you think the Marlins could get for Fernandez, and what teams would make the most sense for him?

They could get whatever the hell they want and then some.
Exactly.

Injuries notwithstanding, he is one hell of a player and has some serious trade value.

Fernandez is a star and I'll surprised if the Yankees, Dodgers, and Red Sox aren't putting together their best packages to land him via trade. I could give 2 shits about the Marlins but since I've been in Florida, I've tuned into watch his every start. I drove over 4 hours to the shittiest part of that city, fought thru that ridiculous traffic, parked in some random-ass yard a mile from the stadium, and then stood in a line...waited 20 mins to be frisked like we were going to a DMX concert......all to watch Jose pitch in person.

If there's any turn off it's his agent.

Fernandez has several years of control left and Boras won't sign a long-term deal. I would not give up a tremendous amount unless and until he does sign a longer-term (7-10 years) contract.
